We were shooting on location at the Toronto Stock Exchange, and needed to produce a profile portrait, that made was obvious to the TSE, but not get in the way of the functioning of the Exchange. In the past, I have actually been able to stop the ticker for an image, and believe me that was a very coordinated effort very strategically handled… I wanted this effort to be simpler and less stressful.
I scouted ahead of time, and found a couple of locations that would suit the needs of client and all local constraints. All went well, and as we were packing up, I noticed this intriguing setting on an upper level, and so I made a quick call back to the subject, asked him to go upstairs, and worked with the available light and the one amber colored strobe that wasn’t yet packed up. The results was the most natural image from the session, and still a favorite for its funky setting.
