Working in new locations with new clients, often involves new and undiscovered techniques.
This was a stage of the tempering process for the parts that make up the drilling shafts in mining operations. The temperatures involved were extreme, and I was quickly advised that any additional materials or lighting I brought in was subject to melting wherever it was placed.

We were setting up to shoot this executive in the Royal Bank Tower, as part of a feature on CMA’s in Canada. A call came in and we were told that it was now to be a cover image for the magazine, and that an entirely different image and style would be required. We were shooting on location at the Toronto Stock Exchange, and needed to produce a profile portrait, that made was obvious to the TSE, but not get in the way of the functioning of the Exchange. In the past, I have actually been able to stop the ticker for an image, and believe me that was a very coordinated effort very strategically handled… I wanted this effort to be simpler and less stressful.
